WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Legoland Florida’s summer plans include Go Xtreme!, a new live-action show with energetic characters, music and plenty of big stunts.

The show, debuting May 27 at the Winter Haven theme park, features stunts performed by BMX riders, scooter riders, a Cyr wheel artist and an inline skater.

“This show is a really good complement to your day at Legoland,” said Nick Miller, Legoland Florida director of operations. “It’s going to skew to a little bit of an older child, so it’s good because we a lot of other shows that are geared toward smaller children.”

The action unfolds on the set of the fictional Lego City TV show, “Go Xtreme!,” which has the performers vying for a spot on the show.

It starts with Producer Tom, a new Lego character, leading the auditions along with a production assistant named Sam. They welcome the studio audience (park visitors) to the show and introduce the panel of “celebrity”judges who score the stunts.

The audience is also introduced to the different acts that will be performing: The Speed Demons, a pair of BMX bikers; The Wheely Bad Bandits, an inline skater and a Cyr wheel artist; and the Pepperoni Bros, a pair of scooter riders.

Another character in the show is Mike, who appears in different scenes as a construction worker using a jackhammer around the set. It’s later revealed that Mike can perform high-flying stunts on a pogo stick.

After a round of auditions, the show goes “live” for the big finale with all of the performers and an original song.

"This is something our guests have asked for," Miller said. "Let's get a show that's a little bit older in it's age demographic, and I think people are going to like it."

Go Xtreme has a run time of about 20 minutes. The show runs select dates through Aug. 6.
